As part of WorkSafe's Technology Division, we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Integration Architect to lead the architectural direction, governance and evolution of our enterprise integration and automation capabilities. This is a key strategic role responsible for shaping and governing integration solutions across a complex technology landscape, with a strong focus on MuleSoft, complemented by exposure to AWS and IBM Integration platforms.
You will play a critical role in defining integration strategies, establishing architecture standards and best practices, and ensuring solutions align with WorkSafe's business objectives, technology roadmap and enterprise architecture principles.
Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance across a broad range of initiatives involving application and data integration, APIs, event-driven architecture, workflow automation and emerging AI-enabled technologies. You will bring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking and a passion for creating scalable, secure and future-focused integration solutions that drive organisational outcomes.
This role is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys influencing enterprise-wide technology decisions, driving architectural excellence and enabling business transformation through modern integration and automation practices.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain WorkSafe's integration and automation architecture strategy, including target-state architectures, roadmaps, standards and technology direction across APIs, data integration, event-driven architecture, workflow automation, RPA and AI-enabled automation.
- Establish and govern enterprise architecture standards, patterns and guardrails,
ensuring integration and automation solutions align with security, compliance, data management, operational requirements and enterprise architecture principles.
- Provide architecture governance, assurance and strategic oversight across integration, automation and AI initiatives, reviewing solution designs, identifying risks and technical debt, and promoting simplification, standardisation and reuse.
- Act as the enterprise subject matter expert for Integration and Automation, providing strategic advice and architectural leadership to business and technology stakeholders while collaborating with architects, delivery teams and vendors to drive consistent outcomes.
- Lead the adoption and governance of AI-enabled automation capabilities, establishing principles and guardrails for the secure, responsible and effective integration of AI, intelligent agents and emerging automation technologies across the enterprise.
- Drive capability development and continuous improvement by mentoring architects and delivery teams, maintaining architecture artefacts and reusable patterns, monitoring industry trends, and uplifting organisational integration and automation maturity.

You enjoy working collaboratively with architects, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to shape technology direction, drive best practice, and support successful organisational transformation.
Additionally, You Will Possess The Following Skills And Experience
- Extensive experience in Enterprise, Solution or Integration Architecture within large and complex organisations.
- Strong expertise in enterprise integration technologies and patterns, particularly MuleSoft, API-led integration, event-driven architecture and data integration.
- Proven experience developing architecture strategies, governance frameworks, standards, target-state architectures and technology roadmaps.
- Experience providing architecture assurance and governance across large-scale transformation programs and technology initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders and translate complex technical concepts into explicit business outcomes.
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid integration environments, automation technologies, and emerging AI-enabled automation capabilities.
Qualifications - Desirable
- TOGAF, MuleSoft, Azure or related architecture certifications.
