About the Business

Randstad has partnered exclusively with a well-established, family-owned civil construction business based in the Murraylands region of South Australia. Specialising in civil infrastructure, subdivisions, earthworks, and road construction, they are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join their management team and drive project growth through accurate tendering.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for varied civil projects.
- Perform quantity calculations, cost analysis, and constructability assessments.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identify project risks, commercial opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal project managers throughout the bidding process.
- Facilitate seamless project handovers to the operations team following successful contract awards.

What You Bring

- Proven experience in civil construction estimating covering earthworks, roads, drainage, and subdivisions.
- Robust ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contracts,



and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of local government and SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) tendering processes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and computer skills, including proficiency with estimating software.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline are preferred.
