We are seeking an experienced and reliable Livestock & Farmhand to support the day-to-day care of livestock and general operations across a working farm in Donnybrook, Western Australia.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with genuine livestock experience who is confident working independently, understands animal welfare, and takes pride in maintaining high standards across livestock care and farm operations. This role offers flexibility for the right candidate, with the option to commence either full-time or part time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day care and handling of a wide variety of animals including but not limited to sheep, cattle, goats and horses, including feeding, monitoring animal health, stock movements, drafting and yard work. The role includes low-stress stock handling and assisting with animal health procedures such as drenching, vaccinating, marking and identifying signs of illness or disease.

Horse care forms part of the position, including daily paddock and stable maintenance, grooming, saddling and general horse handling. You will also assist with seasonal livestock activities including breeding, lambing and shearing preparation.

Beyond livestock, you will support broader farm and seasonal operations including pasture and weed management, bushfire prevention and mitigation, orchard work, property maintenance and general farm duties. Experience maintaining or repairing farm infrastructure is highly regarded but not essential.

The ideal candidate is an experienced,



practical and observant farm worker who is comfortable taking responsibility for daily animal care and working with minimal supervision. You will have a strong work ethic, good stock sense and the flexibility to assist across a range of livestock, property and seasonal farm tasks.

- Experienced and confident working with livestock
- Strong stock sense and understanding of animal welfare
- Competent in low-stress stock handling, drafting and yard work
- Able to identify changes in animal health, behaviour or condition
- Reliable, practical and observant with a strong work ethic
- Physically fit and comfortable undertaking hands-on farm work
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Willing to work across a variety of livestock and general farm duties

Requirements

- Proven previous experience in livestock husbandry, stock work or a similar farm role
- Experience working with sheep and cattle; horse handling experience is highly regarded
- Experience with animal health procedures and general livestock care
- Ability to work independently with strong initiative, as well as collaboratively within a small team.
- The ability to communicate clearly and follow specific instructions.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Right to work in Australia
- Farm maintenance and infrastructure repair skills are advantageous but not essential

This is a varied, hands-on position offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work across livestock, seasonal farming and property operations within a well-managed working farm.
