We are seeking a highly motivated Exploration Geologist/GIS and Database Administrator responsible for drilling supervision and Geospatial, GIS and Database administration.
What the role entails:
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will be part of a highly motivated and successful Geology team. You will be responsible for:
- Drilling supervision as required
- Administration of Chinova’s Geobank database
- Field data coordination and integration
- Maintain the standard suite of GIS products with the latest information:
- Timely reporting of analytical data as it becomes available
- Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- GIS Management
- Sample and despatch procedures
- Analytical Techniques
- QAQC protocols
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in Geology and GIS/Database management
- Experience with drilling supervision
- Experience in using GIS and 3D modelling software (Micromine, MapInfo, QGIS)
- Experience in data management and quality control
- Experience with using database package (Geobank, acQuire)
- Ability to produce maps and diagrams for corporate use
