Kiama Community College (KCC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified and experienced Beauty Therapy professionals interested in future casual Trainer and Assessor opportunities.
We are looking for engaging and inclusive trainers who can support a variety of learning styles while helping learners develop practical skills, confidence and industry readiness.
About the Role
As a Beauty Therapy Trainer and Assessor, you play an important role in supporting learners throughout their educational journey by delivering engaging training and guiding the development of practical beauty therapy skills. You work closely with students, apprentices and industry professionals to build their confidence, knowledge and professional capabilities, helping them prepare for rewarding careers in the beauty and wellness industry. Through a combination of theory, hands-on learning, mentoring and supportive assessment, you will encourage learners to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
This role makes a meaningful contribution to the industry by nurturing skilled, work-ready professionals and promoting high standards of client care and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess nationally recognised Beauty Therapy qualifications and units of Delivers engaging and inclusive training that supports diverse learning needs and builds learner confidence and practical skills.
- Applies fair and supportive assessment practices, providing constructive feedback that encourages continuous improvement and successful outcomes.
- Maintains current beauty industry knowledge, ensuring training is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with workplace expectations.
- Builds positive and respectful relationships with learners, providing mentoring, guidance, and personalised support to help them achieve their learning and career goals.
- Demonstrates strong communication and facilitation skills, creating a positive learning environment that encourages participation, engagement, and success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain if eligible under current VET requirements.
- Relevant Beauty Therapy qualification at the level being delivered and assessed, or higher.
- Current and demonstrated industry experience within the beauty sector.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain.
- National Police Check.
- Demonstrated industry currency and commitment to ongoing career development.
- Current driver’s licence (desirable).
