Hey! I am a female in my early 30’s living at home with my mother, grandmother and my two school age brothers. I have Cerebral Palsy and require high physical support and assistance with personal care, meals, medication and hoist transfers. I am also non-verbal but able to communicate with gestures and facial expressions. I have two support staff every morning and evening. I am happy and easy going with a regular support team around me. I am looking for a new, lovely female support worker to join my current team. You would also be a backup for when my current team members are not available.
Experience is not required, if you are the right person my current team are happy to train you.
The Role:
- Personal Care
- Light household duties
Shifts:
- Wednesdays - 5pm - 7pm
- Thursdays - 5pm - 7pm
- Availability for back up shifts (mornings 6am - 8am & afternoons 5pm - 7pm)
Essential requirements:
- Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
- Live within reasonable travelling distance
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed
Highly regarded but not essential:
- Hoisting Experience
- Peg Feeding Experience
- Experience with Alternate Communication Systems
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $39.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $44.24 per hour
- Saturday - $55.30 per hour
- Sunday - $71.10 per hour
- Public Holidays - $86.90 per hour
- Sleepover allowance $90.00 per shift
