Field Service Assistant (HVAC/Mechanical)

Summary

Trade Assistant will be technically qualified, energetic, highly motivated person who will be an externally focused, frontline person with confident & energetic personality. You will be responsible for all internal and external installation and maintenance functions ranging from factory assembly of HVAC cooling equipment to field installation of new cooling towers at client sites. In this role you will be expected to strengthen existing customer relationships, complete all assembly and installations works to the highest standards and to exceed customer expectations for future business opportunities.

The position will be based from Riverstone, Western Sydney facility however sitework can be national.

Responsibilities

· Lead & support maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Cooling Towers and associated Mechanical equipment (Motors, Drive Systems, Gearboxes, Pumps) at client sites

· Lead assembly and installation of Evapco Cooling Towers locally and nationally at client sites

· Lead and assist with the assembly of Evapco Cooling Towers at our factory

· Ability to lead a small team of Assistants (for assigned projects)

· Able to work at heights and in confined spaces (training and certification can be provided)

· Capable of trouble shooting and problem-solving issues promptly

· Completing projects and reports in a timely manner and within budget

· Capable of carrying out Quality inspections, testing & Quotations

· Complete admin documents, e.g. SWMS, Reports, Quotations, Warranty, NCR etc. and upload to software in a timely manner





· Excellent standard of communications in English (written & verbal)

. Quick learner, health and safety conscious, Construction experience, Own tools and transport

. Liaise with internal and external stake holders to obtain information and solutions to solve problems promptly.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Previous experience in construction & assembly with document processing (SWMS/Inductions/OHS), mechanical inclination, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, quick leaner, work with limited supervision, ability to operate power tools & machinery safely, trustworthy, knowledge and principles of occupational health & safety practices and procedures.

Knowledge of work quality and compliance obligations, attention to details, problem solving ability will be favourable.

Skills in mechanical, HVAC&R; or plumbing trades, establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, clients and possess an intermediate level of computer (word, excel, outlook) literacy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade/Mechanical qualifications (TAFE) or at least 2+ years’ industry experience with cooling solutions, or closely related experience from HVAC&R;, plumbing, or mechanical engineering sectors. Third year apprentices will be considered. Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate during the probation period.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be a resident of Australia with full working rights, holds necessary certifications/cards e.g. White card, working at heights, harnesses, NSW Drivers, EWP & Forklift License etc.

Be open to travel and living away from home.
