Your Role As Graduate Engineer, you’ll kick-start your engineering career working alongside experienced engineers to deliver practical and innovative solutions for the residential construction market.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure across engineering design, technical reporting and client engagement, with the support and mentoring to progressively build your technical capability and take on increasingly complex engineering work.
You’ll:
- Produce practical engineering designs that meet client requirements and comply with relevant Australian Standards
- Review and interpret architectural drawings and translate project requirements into effective engineering solutions
- Liaise directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support
- Coordinate undertake and assess engineering observations and prepare clear technical reports
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop your technical knowledge, problem-solving capability and professional judgement
- Manage your own workload and project responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing engineering team
What You’ll Bring
- Completed Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering from an institution recognised by Engineers Australia;
- A sound understanding of engineering principles, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Proactive and customer-focused approach, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn, seek guidance and work collaboratively as you develop into an independent engineer
