An exciting opportunity exists to join Victim Assist Queensland as a temporary Senior Assessor based in South Brisbane.

The Senior Assessor will be appointed by the Chief Executive as a Government Assessor under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009 (Section 128). This position reports to the Team Leader, Financial Assistance and will:

1. Perform functions as required under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009.
2. Undertake evidence-based decision making in line with legislative intent to provide financial assistance to victims of crime.
3. Provide authoritative advice to administrative officers as required to enable the timely and responsive delivery of services to victims of crime.
