About the role and about you We are now recruiting for a Health & Safety Administrator to join our Safety Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an administration professional who is passionate about safety and compliance. In this role you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the effective operation of SGCH's health and safety systems and processes. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting incident management, coordinating safety activities, and helping the organisation meet its workplace health and safety obligations.
To succeed in this role, you will be an organised and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering high-quality admin support.
This is a permanent role based across our Liverpool and Redfern offices and requires regular travel to other SGCH office locations to meet business needs, with hybrid work arrangements offered.
Duties
- Maintaining safety records, databases, policies, procedures, forms and compliance documentation.
- Supporting the reporting, tracking and administration of incidents, hazards and near misses.
- Monitoring corrective actions arising from incidents, audits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Preparing WHS reports, dashboards,
statistics and meeting packs to support decision-making.
- Coordinating safety meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes and distributing communications.
- Scheduling and supporting site inspections, audits, training sessions and team activities.
- Responding to WHS enquiries and directing stakeholders to the appropriate support and guidance.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety systems, reporting and processes.

Desired Skills And Experience
- Certificate III in Work Health & Safety, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in administration, compliance, operations, or safety support role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and compliance focus, including experience maintaining documentation, reports, and operational records.
- Effective communication and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders; current Full NSW Driver Licence required.
