About the role

- $27.77 – $30.54 base rate (DOE) + Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays, plus 12% superannuation.

As a Housekeeping Service Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Working across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and dining spaces. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation are consistently achieved. You will carry out your duties in accordance with infection control requirements, workplace health and safety standards, and organisational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and staff areas to a high standard.
- Follow infection control procedures and safe cleaning practices at all times.
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly.
- Restock supplies and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
- Identify and report hazards, maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
- Support laundry duties when required, including handling linen and residents’ personal items with care.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors and team members.
- Contribute to a warm, homely and respectful environment for residents.

About You

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Respectful and compassionate approach when working around residents.
- Good communication skills and a professional manner.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and instructions.
- Physically capable of undertaking cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Ability to complete pre-employment medical, NDIS, and National Police Check
