Our client is seeking an experienced Power Station Operator to join their team on a 2:2 FIFO roster at the Lakeway Potash Project in Wiluna. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to a self-motivated operator who can work autonomously while maintaining safe and reliable power generation.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a 10MW gas-fired power station, with diesel generation being introduced as part of ongoing site expansion. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring consistent site power supply.

What you’ll be doing:

- Operating and monitoring gas and diesel generation systems
- Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs
- Conducting electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Adjusting output to meet load demands
- Maintaining accurate logs and using maintenance systems
- Ensuring safety compliance and general site upkeep
- Supporting installation and commissioning of additional capacity





What you’ll need:

- Experience with gas and diesel power generation, ideally Cummins
- Trade-qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of power generation and load management
- Experience with maintenance systems and control systems
- Current driver’s licence, first aid, HV switching and LV rescue
- Ability to work independently in a remote FIFO environment
