INDEPENDENT HOSPITAL AND AGED CARE PRICING AUTHORITY (IHACPA)

BOARD MEMBER APPOINTMENTS The Australian Government invites expressions of interest from experienced board directors, senior executives and recognised leaders for appointment to the Board of the Independent Hospital and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA).

IHACPA is an independent statutory authority responsible for providing evidence-based pricing advice that supports the funding of Australia's public hospital and aged care systems. Its work is central to ensuring that health and aged care funding arrangements are transparent, efficient and sustainable.

These appointments require individuals of exceptional qualified standing who bring strategic insight, sound judgement and contemporary governance experience to help guide the Authority in delivering its nationally significant responsibilities.

Expressions of interest are sought from experienced board directors, senior executives and leaders with recognised expertise in one or more of the following areas:

· Public health and health system leadership

· Public hospital management, funding, pricing or costing

· Aged care leadership, funding, pricing or service delivery

· Health economics, finance or public policy

· Clinical leadership

· Government,



regulation or public administration

· Corporate governance and board leadership

Candidates will demonstrate substantial executive or board experience, strategic judgement, intellectual rigour and the ability to contribute constructively to complex, evidence-based decision-making. They will possess the highest standards of integrity, sound governance credentials and the ability to engage effectively across governments, jurisdictions and diverse stakeholder groups.
