Engineering is expanding its capabilities and is now adding an Industrial Electrician to strengthen its field and workshop support.
Role Description This full-time Industrial Electrician role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Sydney Area, with a mix of on-site work at customer facilities and panel building in the workshop. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, wiring, and commissioning electrical systems for industrial automation and robotics equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and control panels. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults, conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards.
The Industrial
Electrician will collaborate with engineers and technicians, maintain accurate service records, and support continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong practical knowledge of electricity and industrial power systems, including safe work practices and relevant standards.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance & repair of industrial equipment, machinery, and control systems.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for electrical faults, automation components, and related hardware.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, panel building, and installation of industrial circuits.
- Relevant electrical trade qualification and current electrician license or certification applicable in Recent South Wales.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and robotics environments; exposure to PLCs, sensors, and control systems is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Effective communication skills and basic computer literacy for reporting, documentation, and remote support.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Sydney Area as required.
