Role Description
- Conduct financial, industry, market, and company research to support investment banking transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation, forecasting, transaction, and scenario analyses.
- Perform company valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.
- Prepare pitch books, management presentations, valuation materials, transaction analyses, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Support execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, restructuring, and other corporate finance transactions.
- Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, capital structures, and business performance to identify key trends and investment considerations.
- Conduct due diligence and coordinate information gathering across internal teams, clients, advisors, and other transaction participants.
- Monitor capital markets, industry developments, competitive dynamics, and relevant economic trends.
- Assist in preparing transaction documentation, financial analyses, and materials for senior bankers and clients.
- Ensure analytical outputs and presentation materials are accurate, consistent, and delivered to a high professional standard.
- Collaborate with deal teams to develop strategic recommendations and transaction solutions for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, valuation, capital markets, and investment banking concepts.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with valuation methodologies including DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.
- Excellent PowerPoint skills and ability to present complex financial information in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong research, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in financial analysis and presentation materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and work effectively in a highly collaborative setting.
- Solid commercial awareness and interest in financial markets, corporate transactions, and strategic finance.
