About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Junior Behaviour Therapist to join our team on a casual basis, with a clear pathway to progress to a part-time position as you develop your skills.

Reporting to the Team Leader and working under clinical supervision, you will provide foundational guidance and support to people with disabilities, their families, and support teams. This role is designed for an emerging qualified eager to apply evidence-based approaches and learn from experienced practitioners in a supportive, hands-on workplace.

You will assist in delivering coaching, modelling, and support to key stakeholders—including families, support workers, and managers—helping them build confidence and competence in implementing behaviour support strategies. You will play a key role in promoting a clear understanding of individual behaviour support plans and the responsibilities involved in carrying them out effectively.

About You

You are a motivated and empathetic individual with a genuine interest in supporting people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities. You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to developing your skills in Behaviour Support under the mentorship of experienced clinicians.

You will also have

- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications (or be in your final year of study) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related Social or Behavioural Science (essential).
- Training:



Willingness to complete 40 hours of video-based training from home prior to commencement.
- Learning Mindset: A strong desire to learn and grow professionally, with openness to supervision and constructive feedback.
- Organisational Skills: Basic time management skills and the ability to manage tasks, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines with support.
- Interpersonal Skills: Emerging interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with families, support workers, and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: A flexible and solution-focused approach, with a willingness to work in dynamic environments and adapt to changing needs.
- Licences & Checks:
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence
- A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- A valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Flexibility: Willingness to deliver home-based sessions as part of the role.

Desirable (but not essential)

- Previous experience or placement in a disability or community services setting.

Pay: $31.70 – $35.00 per hour
