Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager with a strong data background to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of data-focused projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Data Engineers, Analysts, Technical Teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

This role is ideal for someone with a combination of project coordination/management experience and hands-on understanding of data, analytics, reporting, or data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering data and technology projects.
- Support project managers with project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate activities between data teams, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates and reports.
- Organise and facilitate project meetings, workshops, stand-ups, and stakeholder discussions.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, action registers, and meeting minutes.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate them when required.
- Support requirements gathering and ensure clear communication between technical and business teams.
- Assist with data migration, data integration, analytics, reporting, or data transformation initiatives.
- Monitor deliverables and timelines to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Support testing, implementation, and project handover activities.




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and governance.

Required Skills and Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in Project Coordination, Junior Project Management, Business Analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data, analytics, reporting, data management, or data-related projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and project deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience preparing project status reports, documentation, meeting minutes, and action trackers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Data and Technical Background The ideal candidate will have exposure to one or more of the following:

- Data analytics and business intelligence.
- Data migration and data integration projects.
- Data warehouses, data lakes, or cloud data platforms.
- SQL and database concepts.
- Power BI, Tableau,



or other reporting and visualisation tools.
- ETL/ELT and data transformation processes.
- Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Data governance, data quality, or master data management.

Hands-on technical expertise is not mandatory, but the candidate should be comfortable understanding and discussing data concepts with technical teams.

Desirable Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Project management certifications or training such as CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile, Scrum, or PMP would be advantageous.
- Experience working in data transformation, digital transformation, technology, financial services, telecommunications, or enterprise environments would be highly regarded.
