About you
We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, detail orientated Legal Assistant looking for their next opportunity in a supportive team. The successful candidate will be passionate about fostering a collaborative workplace and thrive working in a rapid-paced high performing team.
Ideally you will have
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Assistant in a law firm
- Experience within a litigation environment and familiarity with RedCrest, Citec, eLodgement, CMS and CommCourts will be highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Knowledgeable with document collation software, discovery platforms, vendor payment portals and court procedure process would be ideal but is not essential
- The ability to build strong working relationships
- Solid understanding of professionalism, confidentiality and healthy work ethic
- A commitment to excellence with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work (attention to detail is critical)

Your role
You will be responsible for delivering high-level administrative and secretarial support to a group of experienced fee earners. The role offers strong exposure across various different complexities of litigation matters, in a structured and collegiate team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary, travel and court date coordination
- Producing and formatting accurate, high-quality correspondence and legal documents
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and other external stakeholders electronically as well as in person
- Assisting with matter management, including conflict checks, file opening and closing, file set up, engagement letters, cost estimates
- Preparation of end-of-month billing, expenses and vendor invoicing
- Assisting with the preparation and finalisation of briefs to Counsel, mediators, discovery documents, court and trial books,
- Court and Tribunal filing, assisting with hearings, mediations and conferences
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders including our clients
