Our client is looking for safety focused and motivated Trade Qualified Fitters/ Metal Machinists to join their company on a full time basis for workshop and field work based in AYR and Bowen in the Townsville region QLD. You will assist with day-to-day operations to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

- At least 1 years trade Qualified with post-trade CNC Experience/qualifications.
- Hold industry recognised qualifications.
- Experience programming and running OKUMA CNC Machines
- Knowledge of MAZATROL Software.
- Ability to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using CNC programming
- Ability using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore, drill metal
- Experience cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Experience diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
- Experience overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Conduct quality inspections of all components before and after processing




- Perform duties required to program profile machines, laser machines and beam-line
- Set up, operate and maintain precision equipment and computer manufacturing and production machines
- Calculate and set controls regulating machining factors
- Ensure that current (QA) processes are carried out and
provide support to current processes.
- Liaise with production team to effectively plan and run the CNC machines to meet the production objectives
- Study blueprints, drawings, sketches, manuals and specifications
- Set machine parameters
- Set up torches, drill sand cutting tips
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure fully operational at all times.
