About the position
The Technical Officer - Electrical will provide electrical maintenance and minor capital works for Council including technical support for the management and maintenance of Muswellbrook Water and Wastewater’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, treatment works Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), pumping stations, and reservoir instrumentation and telemetry systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and replace electrical and instrumentation systems to resolve process faults
- Supervise and support apprentice electricians when required
- Provide technical advice to the Operations Manager, team members, and contractors
- Interpret and update electrical engineering and P&ID; drawings
- Support asset management systems by supplying accurate data from completed works
- Ensure compliance with WHS, standards, and regulations while contributing to planning and budgets
- Licensed Electrician – Electrical supervisors certificate and ability to maintain licence.
- Relevant post–trade qualifications, e.g. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
- Class C Driver’s Licence

- Salary from $103,635 to $108,569 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
