Riverside Hotel is seeking a Maintenance & Building Services Manager to lead day-to-day building operations across our mid-rise hotel and common property areas in South Brisbane.
This is a practical leadership role — ideal for an experienced operator who can manage workflow, coordinate contractors and maintain building standards, while remaining actively involved in hands-on maintenance.
You will have direct access to senior management and real ownership of the property’s operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Building Operations
- Oversee daily maintenance across guest rooms, plant and common areas
- Ensure high presentation standards and rapid response to maintenance requests
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and asset upkeep
Team & Contractor Management
- Lead and coordinate a small maintenance team
- Prioritise workflow and allocate daily tasks
- Engage and supervise external contractors
- Source and assess trade quotations for minor works
Compliance & Systems
- Ensure WHS compliance and contractor documentation standards
- Manage maintenance requests via MyBos or similar systems
- Monitor stock control and maintenance supplies
Common Property & Projects
- Coordinate common area maintenance within a strata environment
- Liaise professionally with Body Corporate representatives where required
- Support minor capital works and improvement projects
About You
- Proven experience in hotel, strata or building maintenance
- Confident leading a small team while remaining hands-on
- Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing contractors and project scopes
- Solid computer literacy and maintenance system experience
- Clear, professional communicator
- Trade qualification highly regarded
