About the role

F&H; Industries is seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our team in Melbourne VIC on a full-time basis. This is a crucial position within our operations, responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across our facilities and client properties. As a Maintenance Plumber, you will play a vital role in ensuring our infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently, whilst upholding the high standards of service that F&H; Industries is known for.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse plumbing projects, from routine maintenance to complex repairs, with significant impact on client satisfaction and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves and drainage systems
2. Diagnose plumbing problems and determine the most effective solutions, utilising appropriate tools and techniques
3. Install, repair and replace plumbing components and systems to ensure optimal functionality
4. Conduct regular inspections of plumbing infrastructure to identify potential issues before they become critical
5. Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and provide efficient solutions to minimise downtime
6. Maintain detailed records of maintenance work completed, materials used and parts replaced
7. Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, regulations and safety standards
8. Communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed, timelines and any additional recommendations

Keep tools and equipment in good working order and maintain a clean and safe work environment
10. Collaborate with other team members and trades to complete projects efficiently

What we're looking for

1. A recognised plumbing qualification or apprenticeship completion in plumbing or related trade
2. Current plumber registration or licence as required by Victorian regulations
3. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in maintenance plumbing or a similar role
4. Robust knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, codes and best practices
5. Proficiency with standard plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
7. Strong communication and customer service skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments and positions
10. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for site visits
11. Commitment to health and safety compliance and best practices
12. Preferred: Experience in commercial or industrial plumbing maintenance
13. Preferred: Knowledge of water efficiency and sustainable plumbing practices
