Bring your commercial finance skills to a hands-on role supporting a dynamic, operationally focused horticulture and processing business.

An excellent prospect for an experienced Management Accountant to step into a visible finance business-partnering role, working closely with operational leaders to provide timely reporting, meaningful analysis and practical financial insight.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Horticulture, you will support the performance of multi-site horticulture and processing operations, partnering with Regional Managers, Farm Managers and key finance stakeholders. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your ability to understand operational drivers, improve processes and translate numbers into actions will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver accurate month-end reporting, management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
- Prepare balance-sheet reconciliations and support an efficient, well-controlled month-end close.
- Assist with monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and capital-expenditure reporting.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key risks, trends and opportunities.
- Support purchase-order management and ensure accurate cost allocation across orchards and processing operations.
- Maintain sound financial controls and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Develop trusted working relationships with Finance, Horticulture, Processing and operational site teams.

About you You are a commercially astute,



hands-on finance professional who can quickly build credibility with both finance and operational stakeholders.

You will bring a practical approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to work independently while contributing positively to an established team. Your experience may include Management Accounting, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or Finance Business Partnering within agriculture, food manufacturing, processing, FMCG, logistics, manufacturing or another multi-site, asset-intensive environment.

Ideally you will offer

- CA/CPA qualification.
- Proven experience in month-end reporting, management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
- Exposure to multi-site cost allocations, inventory or production reporting, labour/contractor costs, purchase orders and capex tracking.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence using ERP systems; JDE experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong reconciliation, cost-centre reporting and internal-controls experience.
- The communication expertise to explain financial results clearly and constructively to non-finance managers.
- The ability to commence quickly and make an impact across a five-month parental leave contract.

Direct horticulture experience will be most advantageous, although strong operational finance experience from a comparable industry will be equally valued. This is a great opportunity for an immediate start, contributing to a business where finance is closely connected to operational performance.
