Shared Services SA (SSSA) deliver essential business and finance services across areas of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax and financial accounting, and business systems which enable government agencies to focus on serving the community. SSSA support daily operations to driving innovation, your work at Shared Services SA powers the public sector behind the scenes.
Why This Role Matters
As a Manager, Financial Accounting, you will lead a high-performing financial accounting team that supports government agencies to meet their financial reporting and compliance obligations. Your leadership will help ensure accurate, timely and reliable financial information that enables sound decision-making and strengthens financial accountability across the South Australian public sector.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of efficient and effective financial accounting and management services.
- Drive the preparation of financial statements, audit liaison activities and briefing processes.
- Strengthen financial accounting procedures, compliance and governance outcomes.
- Lead business improvements and change initiatives that enhance reporting quality, timeliness and accuracy.
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks across service delivery activities.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with client agencies, Audit SA and internal partners to achieve successful outcomes.
