Marketing and Communications Advisor

Speech Pathology Australia | Full-time | Fixed Term (12 months) | Hybrid

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional who enjoys creating engaging content, coordinating integrated campaigns and supporting meaningful member and organisational communications.

The Marketing and Communications Advisor provides operational support across Speech Pathology Australia’s marketing and communications functions. The role coordinates the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, develops engaging content across channels, and supports organisational communications that strengthen member engagement and organisational reputation.

Working across Marketing and Communications team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of campaigns, publications, digital communications and organisational initiatives while ensuring consistency with SPA’s brand and communication standards.

Reporting to the Marketing and Partnerships Manager, you will collaborate with teams across the organisation to support marketing initiatives, member communications, events and strategic projects that deliver value to SPA members and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Coordinating campaign assets, timelines, workflows and marketing collateral
- Preparing and scheduling email marketing, website and social media content
- Assisting with member acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns
- Drafting member communications, news articles, newsletters and organisational updates
- Supporting internal communications and executive communications as required
- Developing and editing content for digital and print platforms
- Maintaining website content and campaign landing pages
- Coordinating graphic design and multimedia assets with internal and external providers
- Supporting conference and event marketing activities
- Liaising with internal stakeholders,



suppliers and agencies to support campaign delivery
- Assisting with campaign reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives

About you:

You are an organised and creative marketing and communications qualified with excellent writing skills and a passion for delivering engaging campaigns and content. You enjoy building strong stakeholder relationships, collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, you can translate ideas into effective marketing and communication outcomes.

Essential

- Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content
- Proven ability to develop and deliver marketing campaigns and communications activities.
- Experience coordinating digital marketing including email, website and social media content
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience in balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems and marketing analytics

Desirable

- Experience within a membership association, not-for-profit or health sector organisation
- Conference sponsorship and exhibition management experience
