Kogan Creek Power Station Welders, 2-Month Shutdown Project
Your recent company
Join a major temporary workforce contributing to the Kogan Creek Power Station Overhaul. This large-scale shutdown will bring together a range of skilled trades, including welders, boilermakers, fitters, riggers and electricians, to complete critical maintenance and upgrade works across the facility.
Your new role
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding a variety of pipes, structures, and components to support the plant's overhaul. Working closely with Boilermakers and other trades, you will complete high-quality welding repairs and modifications on critical plant equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
This role is based at Kogan Creek Power Station for the full two-month duration of the project, with camp accommodation and meals provided. You will work a Monday to Saturday roster, completing 812-hour shifts and rotating between day and night shifts as required. Due to the nature of the shutdown, candidates must be committed to remaining on-site for the entirety of the project. Travel is not provided to Kogan Creek.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in advanced welding within heavy industry,
shutdowns, maintenance, or construction environments.
- To be able to commit to the 2-month-long project and work a rotating roster from Monday to Saturday.
- Current White Card, Working at Heights, and Confined Space tickets, or the willingness to obtain them prior to commencement.
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a functional assessment, chest X-ray, drug and alcohol screening.
- Be able to get to Kogan Creek with your own reliable transport, and remain on the site for 2 months.
