The Opportunity
This is a hands-on maintenance role within a structured manufacturing environment where safety, accountability and continuous improvement matter. You will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability and minimising downtime by:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Identifying and rectifying root causes of equipment failures
- Contributing to capital improvement projects
- Supporting safe and efficient plant operations
- Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
- Following all WHS directives and safety procedures
Hours: Monday to Friday (10-hour shifts)
Overtime: Available (including preventative maintenance Saturdays)
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
- Working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies
- Has been working/has worked in a maintenance team with standard, structured work with accountability for delivery of maintenance KPI’s
- A excellent attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results
- High level knowledge & commitment to WHS and risk management
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Mechanical engineering/Fitter and Turner qualification
- Intermediate computer skills
- ARC & MIG welding skills (TIG optional)
- Experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Ability to work individually or as a team member
Desirable:
- Experience in using a Computerised Maintenance System MEX
- Working at Heights ticket
- Rigger or Dogman ticket
- Boom/ Scissor lift
- Forklift ticket
Ability to work Overtime as required
