The Chance

Perilya is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Mobile Maintenance team at the iconic Broken Hill Operations.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for supervising maintenance personnel undertaking planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance across the underground and light vehicle mobile fleet.

You will lead by example, ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while supporting operational priorities and maximising equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a team of mobile maintenance personnel and apprentices to deliver safe, efficient,



and high-quality maintenance outcomes.
- Coordinate planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance activities across the underground and light vehicle fleet.
- Allocate labour and resources effectively to maximise equipment availability and meet operational priorities.
- Drive fleet reliability through effective maintenance execution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site standards, statutory requirements, and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance Planning, and other stakeholders to align maintenance activities with production requirements.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Manage maintenance activities within approved budgets while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential

- Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Qualification or Light Automotive Mechanical Trade Qualification (or equivalent).
- Current Manual Driver's Licence.




- Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desirable

- Experience in underground mobile maintenance.
- Previous supervisory, leading hand or coordination experience.
- Experience with maintenance management systems and maintenance planning processes.
- Exposure to condition monitoring and reliability improvement programs.
- Sound understanding of underground mining equipment and operations.
