Down Under Auto Services is looking for a qualified Motor Mechanic to join our workshop in Clayton South. This is a general mechanic position focused on everyday servicing and repairs. We are looking for reliable mechanic who takes pride in their work and can confidently handle a broad range of mechanical jobs. As a motor mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults

Remove faulty parts and component.

Carry out repair action required to manufacturer’s specifications and relevant standards

Replace defective parts and assemble mechanical components

Conduct routine maintenance work such as replacing fluids, oils and lubricating parts

Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

Liaise with vehicle owners to explain problems/issues To be considered for this role, you must:

- Have trade qualifications as a Motor Mechanic
- Minimum 1 year working experience in the automotive industry




- Solid understanding of modern vehicle repair technology
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- High attention to details

Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team Be hardworking, disciplined, reliable and versatile
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and time management abilities
- Willingness to lean and adapt to new technologies (including EV)
- Current driver’s licence What can we offer for you –

We offer a $80,000 to $85,000 annual salary package plus superannuation to the successful applicant. *You must have relevant qualifications & experience to be considered for this position. We will only be contacting those who match the criteria. Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
