We are seeking Motor Mechanic/LV Mechanic for ongoing field service, backfill, ad-hoc, and shut crews to join the Ready's team!

Skills, Qualifications &

- Experience

- Trade Qualified Mechanic with a recognised apprenticeship

- Minimum 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience

- Recognised Automotive or Mechanical Trade Certificate

- Current WA Driver’s Licence

- Current Senior First Aid Certificate

- Current Medical and Drug &
- Alcohol Clearance (or ability to obtain)

- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

- Robust commitment to workplace safety and compliance

- Previous mining, resource, or heavy industry experience highly regarded

Key Duties &

- Responsibilities

- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts

- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts





- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

- Performing scheduled maintenance servies, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations

- Perform fault finding and testing to identify and rectify mechanical issues

- Plan and organise materials, tools, and resources required for maintenance activities

- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and timesheets

- Conduct quality inspections and testing of completed work

- Provide feedback on equipment performance and maintenance requirements

- Maintain high housekeeping standards within workshops and work areas

- Report breakdowns, hazards, incidents, and unsafe work practices immediately

- Ensure tools and equipment remain safe and serviceable

- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve operational objectives

- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture and commitment to Zero Harm.
