National Maintenance & Operations Manager Adaptalift Truck Rentals is seeking a National Maintenance & Operations Manager to oversee fleet maintenance and compliance while providing practical operational support across our branch network. You’ll work closely with state leaders, administration teams, suppliers and repairers to keep our fleet protected, compliant, available and ready for our customers.

About The Role

This is a broad, hands-on role combining fleet maintenance management, heavy vehicle compliance and operational support. Rather than direct people management, you’ll work across the business as a key maintenance expert, building strong relationships and supporting teams to achieve consistent outcomes nationally.

Interstate travel will form part of the role, including providing additional operational support to branches during leave periods and when extra assistance is required.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Managing the planning and coordination of scheduled maintenance across the truck rental fleet
- Managing heavy vehicle compliance, inspections, defect clearance, maintenance records and NHVR requirements
- Managing OEM maintenance programs, repairer networks, warranties and key supplier relationships
- Monitoring fleet availability, maintenance expenditure and opportunities to improve reliability,



cost and performance
- Providing operational support including vehicle returns, preparation, deliveries, handovers, servicing and breakdown resolution

About You You’re an experienced professional who understands what it takes to keep a fleet moving. You combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and are comfortable working across multiple teams and locations. You will bring:

- Extensive maintenance planning experience and knowledge of maintenance management systems
- Experience within heavy vehicle operations, fleet maintenance, truck rental or dealership service operations
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance requirements and NHVR Maintenance Accreditation
- Strong commercial understanding of labour, repairs and maintenance costs
- Flexibility to travel interstate and provide hands-on operational support when required
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or extensive mechanical experience would be ideal.
- HC or MC Driver Licence highly regarded
