Role Description This contract Network Security Engineer role is based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows a mix of onsite and work-from-home.

The Network Security

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures supporting enterprise communication and customer experience solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances; monitoring network performance and security events; and conducting vulnerability assessments and remediation. The role involves collaborating with engineering and operations teams to develop secure architectures, documenting configurations and procedures,



and supporting incident response and root-cause analysis.

The engineer will also contribute to security best practices, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement of VIS Global’s network and security posture.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Network Engineering and Network Administration to design, configure, and support complex enterprise networks.
- Proven expertise in Network Security and Cybersecurity to protect infrastructure, manage threats, and implement security controls.
- Solid understanding of Information Security principles, standards, and frameworks to align technical controls with governance requirements.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, routing and switching technologies, and secure network architectures.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and security tools (e.g., SIEM, packet analyzers, vulnerability scanners).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent industry credentials are highly regarded.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, document solutions clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in enterprise communication or unified communications environments is an advantage.
