About the role

We are seeking a New Vehicle Sales Consultant to join our sales team at Stewart Toyota in Sutherland.

This is a full-time position that will be fundamental to our business success, driving sales revenue and building lasting relationships with customers. As a New Vehicle Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs, presenting vehicle options, negotiating sales, and ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience from initial contact through to vehicle delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact both customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and engage potential customers on the showroom floor, identifying their vehicle requirements and preferences
- Provide product knowledge and detailed information about new vehicle features, specifications, and benefits
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle capabilities to prospective buyers
- Prepare and present competitive quotes and negotiate sales terms to secure customer agreements
- Process sales documentation, coordinate with finance and administration teams, and ensure smooth transaction completion
- Build and maintain a customer database to develop ongoing relationships and identify repeat business opportunities
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators
- Provide follow-up support to customers post-purchase and encourage referrals and reviews
- Stay current with vehicle inventory, pricing, promotions,



and company policies
- Collaborate with team members and management to create a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in vehicle sales or a similar retail sales environment, preferably within the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
- Customer-focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
- Proficiency with computer systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Full Australian driver's licence and willingness to conduct test drives
- Professional appearance and demeanour consistent with brand standards
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours as required in the automotive retail sector
