About the role

Wattle Children Services is seeking a Nursery Educator to join our dedicated early childhood team. This is a part-time position based in Wattle Grove, NSW 2173. As a Nursery Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment for young children.

You will be responsible for supporting their developmental milestones, fostering a love of learning, and building positive relationships with both children and families. This role is essential to our mission of providing high quality early childhood care and education.

About the role

- This part time role is set 9:30am-5:30pm shift, Monday to Thursday (4 days a week).
- You will be working with a lead nursery educator with up to 8 children, aged between 6 months and 2 years.

Your duties:

- Providing safe, supportive and engaging care for children in the nursery setting, responding to their individual needs and interests
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative development
- Maintaining a clean, organised and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery
- Building solid relationships with children and families, communicating regularly about children's experiences, achievements and wellbeing
- Supporting children's routines including feeding, toileting, rest times and transitions between activities
- Following all relevant policies, procedures and duty of care requirements to ensure children's safety and wellbeing

What we're looking for

- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare (such as a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent)
- Consistency in location (being at the same early learning service for a minimum of 2 years)
- Current Working with Children Check clearance for New South Wales
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A patient and nurturing approach to childcare, combined with the ability to remain calm in busy environments

- Understanding of child development and evidence-based early childhood education practices
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also taking initiative
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene

- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to respond to the changing needs of children and the service
