About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a boutique allied health provider in Launceston, TAS. This is a diverse role comprising assessment and interventions for predominantly NDIS clients, working with clients to achieve their goals. You will deliver high quality, person centred, holistic and goal directed care that promotes clients' wellness and active participation in decisions about their care, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team across both internal and external services.

- Independently manage a caseload of clients in line with organisational and funding body requirements
- Apply capabilities from the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support capability framework
- Conduct behavioural support assessments including functional behaviour assessments
- Develop behaviour support plans, including those that may contain the use of restrictive practice
- Ensure practice meets relevant state and territory legal obligations regarding restrictive practice
- Work with clients to set and achieve their clinical goals
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and case conference meetings with internal and external multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders including clients, next of kin, support coordinators and case managers
- Complete client reports within required timeframes and maintain client files daily

About You:

- Eligible for registration (suitability) as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Core level)
- Recent graduate in Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Strong evidence of well-developed communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload with support
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- Commitment to quality improvement and continuing career development
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Full driver's licence and access to a safe and reliable vehicle
- Eligible to work in Australia
