About the Role:
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a boutique allied health provider in Hobart, TAS. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in positive behaviour support, with structured clinical supervision and mentoring to guide your development. You will deliver assessment and interventions for predominantly NDIS clients, providing person centred, holistic and goal directed care that promotes clients' wellness and active participation in decisions about their care, all within a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Manage a caseload of clients in line with organisational and funding body requirements
- Apply capabilities from the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support capability framework
- Conduct behavioural support assessments including functional behaviour assessments with support
- Develop behaviour support plans under guidance, including those that may contain restrictive practice
- Work with clients to set and achieve their clinical goals
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and case conference meetings
- Maintain communication with clients, next of kin, support coordinators and case managers
- Complete client reports within required timeframes and maintain client files daily

About You:
- Eligible for registration (suitability) as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Core level)
- Recent graduate in Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Strong evidence of well-developed communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a wide-ranging caseload with support
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- Commitment to quality improvement and continuing professional development
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Full driver's licence and access to a safe and reliable vehicle
- Eligible to work in Australia
