Consultant Geriatrician | Staff Specialist / Senior Staff SpecialistWide Bay, Queensland | Fraser Coast | Excellent Lifestyle & Career Chance Sante Recruitment is seeking experienced and compassionate Staff Specialists and Senior Staff Specialists in Geriatric Medicine to join the Internal Medicine team within Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geriatrician to join a supportive multidisciplinary service and play an important role in delivering high-quality care to an ageing population across the Fraser Coast.
The Opportunity You will provide specialist geriatric medical services across inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with physicians, nursing, allied health and other medical teams.
The role provides opportunities to contribute to:

- Comprehensive assessment and management of older patients with complex medical needs
- Inpatient geriatric medicine and consultation services
- Multidisciplinary care planning and clinical decision-making
- Clinical leadership and service development
- Education and supervision of junior medical staff and physician trainees
- Quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives
- Development of geriatric medicine services across the region
- Collaborative models of care supporting older patients and their families

About You To be considered, you will have:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with specialist recognition in Geriatric Medicine, or equivalent
- Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA




- Demonstrated experience in Geriatric Medicine and the management of complex older patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary patient care
- An interest in teaching, clinical leadership and service development

International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) with relevant overseas specialist qualifications are encouraged to enquire, subject to eligibility for specialist assessment and AHPRA registration.
