Section Supervisor – Packing

ButterBoy | Wholesale Bakery | NSW Got a knack for keeping a team on track and orders flying out the door? ButterBoy is looking for a Section Supervisor – Packing to help lead our wholesale kitchen’s packing operation and keep our cookies (and the ButterBoy name) reaching every stockist, on time, every time.

About the Role

As Section Supervisor – Packing, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our packing section — from organising dispatch and checking orders against invoices, to leading, training, and supporting the team who make it happen. You’ll be hands-on in the section while also stepping up as a leader: coaching new starters, solving problems before they become bottlenecks, and keeping your Wholesale Bakery Manager in the loop with a daily handover. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and wants to grow into a leadership role within a growing, much-loved local brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Overseeing daily packing operations to hit quality and dispatch targets




- Leading your section — assigning tasks, using checklists, and keeping communication open with your team and manager
- Helping onboard and train new team members
- Ensuring all orders are packed accurately and consistently, and dispatched on time
- Printing and organising daily orders/invoices, and reconciling purchase orders for accuracy
- Keeping the dispatch cool room organised, labelled, and easy to navigate
- Recording and reporting wastage, damage, and leftover stock
- Prepping stock for the next day’s dispatch run
- Championing WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards across the section
- Getting cross-trained across other sections of the bakery (prep and baking too!)

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years’ experience in a similar quick-paced production or warehouse/packing environment
- Some experience or qualifications in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NSW Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
- A clear communicator who can rally a team and keep things moving
- A proactive problem-solver who isn’t afraid to jump in
