They’re looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to play a key role in shaping their engineering capability, architecture and technology direction.
The Role
As the Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Shaping and influencing the organisation’s technical vision and engineering strategy
- Mentoring and developing senior engineers, helping raise technical capability across the team
- Driving the adoption of AI-assisted development and contemporary engineering practices across the organisation
- Leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives and defining scalable software architectures
- Providing technical mentorship, establishing best practices and championing engineering excellence
- Hands-on full-stack engineering, contributing across both front-end and back-end development while helping solve complex technical challenges.
- Collaborating with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions
- Influencing hiring decisions and helping shape a high‑performance engineering culture
What You'll Bring You must have this experience to be successful in the role:
- 10+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years in technical leadership
- Expert-level .NET expertise, with strong experience designing and building scalable applications
- Strong TypeScript and React.js experience, with a hands-on approach to full-stack development
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), SQL Server, Redis and observability tools (Datadog, LaunchDarkly)
- Proven track record delivering large‑scale, distributed systems and driving process improvements
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted dev tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and LLM API integration
