Help shape a digital product designed to expand career choice, agency and opportunity for young people.
ABOUT FULL CIRCLE
Full Circle Social Enterprises is an Australian registered charity working with young people in under-resourced communities. We bridge education and employability through leadership and life-skills development, career discovery, goal-setting and mentoring.
Our work is currently delivered in partnership with Future Hope School in Kolkata, India.
ABOUT QUEST
QUEST – Career Mapping for Real Futures – helps young people explore their interests, recognise their strengths and discover career areas that may be suited to who they are.
We are evolving QUEST from a career-profiling tool into a broader student-development platform connecting career discovery, goal-setting, mentoring, reporting, developmental tracking and program evaluation.
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to help turn this vision into a clear, prioritised and achievable product direction.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Using our existing draft Product Roadmap as a starting point, you will:
-Refine and maintain the QUEST product vision and roadmap.
-Establish clear Now, Next and Later priorities.
-Own and manage the product backlog.
-Translate user needs into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria.
-Work with our Technology & Operations Portfolio Lead and QUEST Developer to coordinate delivery.
-Establish practical feedback, testing and product-learning processes.
-Ensure user needs, accessibility, safeguarding, privacy and ethical design inform product decisions.
-Support the integration of mentoring, reporting, analytics and future assessment levels.
-Contribute to future commercialisation and earned-income thinking.
This is a product leadership role rather than a software-development role. Coding expertise is not required.
The Product Manager will work as a peer with the Portfolio Lead – Technology & Operations. The Product Manager owns the product vision, roadmap, priorities and requirements, while Technology & Operations owns technical governance, risk, security and sustainability.
ABOUT YOU
You may be a Product Manager, Product Owner or digital-product leader with experience in areas such as:
-Based in Australia as a Working with Children's Check (WWCC) is needed for this role
-Product strategy and roadmap development
-Product discovery and user-centred design
-Backlog management and prioritisation
-Agile or iterative product delivery
-Working with software developers
-Translating user needs into product requirements
-Stakeholder and change management
-Product analytics and measurement
-Education technology, social impact or not-for-profit environments
-Commercialisation, SaaS or digital-platform models
You are strategic but practical, comfortable bringing clarity to ambiguity and able to create momentum without unnecessary bureaucracy. You collaborate well, make thoughtful prioritisation decisions and are comfortable saying “not yet” when an idea does not fit current priorities.
Most importantly, you care about ethical technology, safeguarding and meaningful outcomes for young people.
COMMITMENT
-Volunteer / pro-bono appointment.
All volunteers in Australia including our Founder, are unpaid.
-Flexible and outcomes-based
-Remote-first, with online meetings
-Reports to the Founder and CEO
-Fortnightly 30-minute product huddle with the Technology & Operations Portfolio Lead and Developer The successful candidate will be required to complete Full Circle’s volunteer-screening process and comply with our safeguarding, privacy, confidentiality and ethical-data requirements. A Working with Children Check may be required depending on the nature of the person’s access and involvement.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
This is an opportunity to shape a purposeful digital product at a pivotal stage of its development.
You will work with an existing product, roadmap and Developer while helping establish effective product-management practices. You will contribute across product strategy, user experience, mentoring, data, safeguarding and social impact.
Most importantly, you will help ensure that technology serves the young person rather than asking the young person to fit the technology.
HOW TO APPLY
Please apply through LinkedIn with:
-Your CV or LinkedIn profile
