Role Description This is a full time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Mount Lawley, WA.
The Quantity
Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conduct detailed cost planning, and support tender preparations and evaluations. Daily tasks include monitoring project budgets, tracking and reporting costs, and assisting with cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves working closely with builders and subcontractors, assessing variations and claims, and providing clear,
timely cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
The Quantity
Surveyor will also contribute to improving estimating processes and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in Cost Planning and Cost Management, including estimating and budgeting for construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with BOQ preparation, measurement, and documentation for various building trades.
- Strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Reporting, with the ability to monitor expenditures, manage variations, and produce clear financial reports.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating and measurement software, and solid MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with builders, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the Australian construction market and familiarity with local standards and contracts will be highly regarded.
