Our Australia and New Zealand events are growing rapidly and we are looking for a Regional Events Manager, ANZ to join our team! Candidates with less experience will be considered for an Operations Manager (Events) position.

This role can be based in any city in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Execution: Lead the full lifecycle of HYROX events in Australia and Current Zealand, from initial planning and venue procurement to on-site execution and post-event reconciliation.
- Regional Leadership: Develop key operational strategies for the region, ensuring key deliverables are managed and executed.
- Operational Integrity: Act as the primary point of contact for our events on the ground, leading troubleshooting and ensuring a seamless experience for athletes and staff.
- Government & Venue Liaison: Cultivate and manage relationships with local authorities, government bodies, and venue management. Ensure full compliance with all permit and regulatory requirements.
- Departmental Coordination: Synchronize workflows, support and partner closely with 8+ internal departments (including Build, Marketing, Sponsorship, Sports, Hyrox365,
etc) to ensure smooth planning and successful execution.
- Budget & Procurement: Prepare and monitor event budgets, manage payments and invoicing, and oversee procurement of necessary equipment to meet financial targets.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor event staff, ensuring tasks are met and completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Event Evaluation: Gather feedback from team members post-event to continuously improve our operations.
- Venue Maps: Working with our CAD Team to finalise CAD drawings for every event with all operational details.
- Health & Safety: Oversee on-site safety, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with Health & Safety Advisors as needed.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in producing large-scale live events, with specific expertise in mass-participation sports or marathons.
- Strong strategic planning and leadership experience.
- Proven track record including established networks with local suppliers, government entities, and venue management.
- Flexible, collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to take on changing priorities and fast-moving tasks.
- Exceptional time management, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work calmly under pressure. Excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel and work outside regular office hours, including weekends and nights.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Drive; experience with AutoCAD is desirable.
- Proven experience in managing teams, with strong communication and mentoring abilities.
- Fluency in English with strong communication abilities to work with different cultures and locations.
