Your role
You will be involved in every stage of the patient’s surgical journey, offering a diverse and rewarding experience. Our nurses are supported to develop existing skills and discover recent areas of practice, with exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures, including complex cases. As part of our nursing team, you will deliver exceptional clinical care throughout the perioperative journey, from pre-operative preparation and care in theatre, through to post-operative recovery.

Key Responsibilities - Ophthalmology Scrub/Scout Nurse (EN/RN)
Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care within the ophthalmology operating theatre, undertaking scrub and scout responsibilities to support surgical procedures and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to infection prevention and hospital standards, supporting patient education, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
The role requires effective communication, professional conduct, and ongoing development of clinical knowledge and skills relevant to ophthalmic surgery.
Registered Nurses additionally undertake patient assessment, care planning and evaluation, and may provide clinical support, supervision, and guidance to staff and students as required.
Your Skills & Experience
You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
The successful applicant will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Ophthalmology experience is essential.

We can offer you
- Enrolled Nurse Salary: $72,637 to $94,929 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation
- Enrolled Nurse Casual Rate: $45.80 to $59.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
- Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation
- Registered Nurse Casual Rate: $52.30 to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full time, part-time or casual positions available
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
