About the work unit / facility

Hughenden Multipurpose Health Service is a 24-hour accident and emergency hospital with a 15-bed acute facility, general medical services, and long-stay nursing home-type beds. The centre supports visiting specialists and provides essential healthcare to the rural community.

Competitive salary and benefits

Salary between $52.16 - $66.91 per hour (Nurse Grade 5).

4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.

Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based, person-centred care within a rural multipurpose health service. You will work collaboratively with patients, families,



and the healthcare team to achieve positive health outcomes.

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Registered Nurse Employment opportunities at Hughenden Multipurpose Health Service.

If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 6 months and you will be contacted further by the Hughenden Multipurpose Health Service at the time an opportunity arises.

Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required. Specialty skills will be assessed to determine eligibility for available positions.

Requirements

Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.

Ability to work all shifts, including participation in an on-call roster.

Current Adult Life Support certificate or willingness to obtain.

Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): This is a VPD risk role.

A probationary period may apply.
