The Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club is seeking a reliable, hands-on and motivated Repairs & Maintenance Person to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, with responsibility for helping maintain the Club's buildings, facilities, grounds and gardens to a high standard. The successful applicant will assist with the day-to-day repairs, maintenance and upkeep of the Club's facilities and grounds.
Key responsibilities
- General repairs and maintenance across Club buildings and facilities
- Preventative maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements
- Gardening, horticultural work and general greens maintenance
- Assisting with the upkeep and presentation of outdoor areas
- Liaising with external contractors and suppliers when required
- Sourcing and ordering maintenance materials and supplies
- Assisting with minor construction, repairs and improvement projects
- Ensuring work areas and equipment are maintained safely
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with other duties as required to ensure the Club remains safe, functional and well presented
About you
- Previous experience in general repairs, maintenance, building services, horticulture or a similar role
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience liaising with suppliers and contractors
- A high level of attention to detail and pride in their work
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills
- A solid understanding of workplace health and safety
- Relevant trade or horticultural qualifications or experience will be highly regarded
- A current driver's licence
