About us:
The Medical/Surgical Ward 1 Unit is located, Block one on the first floor of the Gladstone Hospital. The service offers a total of 31 inpatient beds which cover sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care patients. The Medical/Surgical Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.
About the role:
As the Enrolled Nurse, you will perform under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and be responsible for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice to all patients in the ward. This includes and not restricted to, Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedic, and sub-acute patients.
About you: * Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position. * Proactively identify and manage patients within the inpatient setting. * Understanding of the importance of quality, safety, and risk in healthcare environment * Able to demonstrate effective relationships with the range of health professionals involved in providing patient care.
