Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Grade 5 for an exciting short-term placement within the Intensive Care Unit at Mackay, QLD.

The Chance

- Position: Registered Nurse Grade 5
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Location: Mackay, QLD
- Contract: ASAP – 13 September 2026
- Working hours: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts, as per roster

Essential Experience To be considered, candidates must have:

- Minimum 3 years' recent ICU experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Must be competent and confident in mobilising a ventilated patient
- Ability to work rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts

Mandatory Competencies Candidates must hold/currently demonstrate:

- Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Manual and patient handling
- Infection control and hand hygiene
- Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect
- Occupational Violence Prevention Training, including de-escalation and situational awareness
- Medication management, including QPHS requirements





Desirable Experience Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

- ieMR
- MetaVision
- Previous experience within Queensland Health
- Previous experience within Mackay HHS
- Previous nursing experience in Australia
