The purpose of the position is to undertake land management and revegetation tasks required to protect, restore and enhance biodiversity so that landscapes are healthy, connected and productive.
Responsibilities include:
- Uphold the core values and strategic vision of Cassinia Environmental.
- Undertaking labour work related to land management, including but not limited to; fencing, herbicide spraying, pest animal management which extends to the use of firearms for pest control (applic-subject to firearms licences), tree planting, seed collecting, direct seeding, tractor work and machinery repairs as needed.
- Responsibility for identifying vehicle, asset and equipment maintenance needs and schedules and managing asset maintenance works as appropriate.
- Identify and report OH&S; risks and incidents, and follow Cassinia OH&S; policies at all times.
- Provide accurate, timely and relevant information on land management and revegetation works to your supervisor, including; use of Microsoft suite, Google applications, and mapping applications.
- Travel may be required at times to properties located across Victoria, Current South Wales and South Australia, and at times stay overnight to complete work efficiently.
- Share knowledge and experience with less experienced staff, volunteers and interns.
- Exercise expenditure in alignment with Cassinia’s financial policies and budgets
- Conduct work in a manner to uphold the core values and strategic vision of Cassinia Environment.

Key Skills & Experience
Degree or certificate in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related fields would be an advantage. Demonstrated experience is strongly favoured over level of education.
Or, At least 2-3 years’ work land managementfFarm experience or conservation experience.
