Role Description The Reticulation Ream Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Bundaberg, QLD, responsible for overseeing reticulation operations within the Council’s water and wastewater network. The role involves planning and coordinating daily work programs for reticulation crews, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to pipelines, valves, meters, and associated infrastructure. The manager monitors service delivery and asset performance, prioritizes work orders, and ensures safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

This position works closely with engineering, asset management, and customer service teams to respond to incidents, manage disruptions,



and support network improvement projects.

The Reticulation Ream

Manager also leads and develops team members, manages contractors, prepares reports and budgets, and contributes to long-term planning for network reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong operational management skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and scheduling for field crews.
- Candidates should possess technical skills related to water and wastewater reticulation systems, such as network maintenance, fault diagnosis, and understanding of pipelines and associated assets.
- Candidates should possess skills in safety and compliance, including knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, risk management, and adherence to relevant legislation, standards, and Council policies.
- Candidates should possess project and asset management skills, including coordination of maintenance programs, working with contractors, budgeting, and reporting on performance and service levels.
- Candidates should possess communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with internal teams, external partners, and community members to resolve issues and provide clear information.
- Relevant trade qualification or diploma in civil engineering, water operations, or a related field is highly desirable, along with experience in local government or utility environments.
