About Us
Our client, a well‑established importer and distributor within the food sector is looking to strengthen its sales team in Australia. The company supplies a wide range of products to restaurants, retailers, and food service operators nationwide. Due to consistent expansion, we are seeking a proactive Sales Representative who can contribute to further business growth.
Responsibilities
This position focuses on managing a portfolio of existing customers while actively identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s market presence and revenue growth. The role provides independence, a transparent performance structure, and incentives linked to individual sales results.
- Develop strong relationships with current clients while prospecting for new business across assigned territories
- Present and promote a diverse range of food-related products (industry-specific experience is welcome but not mandatory)
- Conduct customer meetings, assess client requirements, and prepare tailored proposals Lead negotiations and ensure successful contract execution
- Work closely with internal departments such as supply chain, purchasing, and marketing
- Perform regular in-person visits to customer sites (driving required)
Your Profile
- At least 2 years of sales or similar experience, preferably in the wholesale or food industry
- Strong command of English in both written and verbal form
- Proficiency in an additional language such as Japanese, Chinese or Korean
- Ability to build and sustain long-term professional relationships
- High level of business awareness and professional communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence and confidence driving independently
- Full working rights in Australia (citizen or permanent resident) are required.
